We've had a spell of very settled, though cold, weather and it's been giving us great sunsets. The round bits of cloud hanging from the bottom of this stratocumulus layer are called 'mamma' - pretty obvious why.
They were more defined two minutes before this picture was taken, but that's the thing about photographing sky - by the time you've dashed off and got the camera, the view has changed. No matter, it's still a lovely rosy glow - and only about 3.30 in the afternoon!
The good weather was also kind to us last Saturday for the grand Switch On of our Christmas lights. It all went off smoothly and we had a good turn out.
The Market was successful too, and my lovely daughter and grandchildren ran my stall for me - all the starwars and pokemon crochet sold, except for a lonely C3PO and Han Solo left behind. One grown man bought 8 Star Wars figures! I can only imagine his wife's reaction when he returned home with his spoils!
So now I can relax and think about my own family's Christmas. Bliss. I treated myself to a visit to the osteopath yesterday and he's unknotted the tension between my shoulderblades and in the small of my back, so I'm ready for anything. Bring it on!
