I promise you I haven't made any photo-shop tweaks to this picture. The sky was that blue!
We've had several days of sunshine and milder weather and we've been trying to make the most of it by searching out new places to go for our afternoon walks with the dog.
Yesterday afternoon we went for our Maisie walk to a community woodland between Glenrothes and Leslie on the lower slopes of the East Lomond. It's called Formonthills and it's a mix of woodland, play areas, hillside and interesting artefacts. This splendid totem pole marks the highest point of the walk and was made by a lovely man called Kenny who works at Brotus Rural Crafts. I think this pole has been in situ for about eight years now, and the wood has weathered to a beautiful silver colour.
Here's another photo of it with My Dear Husband and Maisie the dog to give you an idea of scale.
Maisie's looking a bit weathered and grey herself - funny how dogs get to look like their owners!
