Hello! Today the sun shone! All day! Eek!
Sorry, deep breath, be calm. It's Friday, so it's Geology. Today we went to Kinghorn at the western end of the south Fife coast to look at lava. As you do on a geology course.
Basically, it's an excuse for a group of 20 retired people to potter about on a beach looking at potentially interesting rocks and stones, hoping that the tutor will say, 'Ooooh! That's interesting!', which she does with great regularity, bless her. It is therefore especially nice when the sun shines.
If you really want to know about the geology of the Fife coast, there is a lovely book which will detail most of the walks we have done on this geology course plus many others.
Just to reassure you that I didn't leave Maisie un-exercised whilst I went off on my 'educational' jaunt, here is a picture of her watching me take my shoes off after our early morning walk along the river and round the town to get the papers. Whew, Mum! I'm tired!
