Helloooo!
I've been happily hooking another granny-square throw. This time in my favourite colours - blue and green. That old adage, "blue and green should never be seen" just didn't get it right at all. Look around at the countryside on a sunny day and just see all those blue-and-green happy, happy, happy mixtures. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it, anyway.
Don't you think that looks lovely and fresh? I was originally going to put little bright flowers in the middle of the squares, but I like it just the way it is. Maybe if I do one in shades of green, without any blues it will look more like a meadow and will benefit from titchy wee blossoms scattered hither and yon.
That could be the next project, or alternatively I could try the Japanese flower shawl pattern that the lovely Lucy featured in her blog a while back - it is simply FEAR that causes me to hesitate - I see these slightly more complicated instructions and panic. I will try it out soon, honest. It can't be so difficult, can it?I'll keep you posted.
